1 stars (disappointed) - This program is not user friendly and the cards are not really that funny. 5 stars (great for a laugh) - This program is great! I have an american greeting software that doesn't even come close to this program! I made a humorous card for for my mother that she absolutely LOVED it (getting a smile out of mom's face is a task) The only issue I had was i recieved an error while trying to download it to my system. I called tech support, and was up and running in 5 min. 5 stars (Another Quality Hallmark Program) - I have had Hallmark software for 4 years running now. Falling in line with the others,this version producing great cards for all your family and friends to enjoy. 1 stars (Hallmark Card Studio) - I wrote upon returning the product that both Hallmark and Amazon should be ashamed to send such a poor product. The colors on the card were not good and the software was so faulty. It would print the sayings on top of each other, not centered. I had an earlier product from Microsoft that had beautiful cards and selections that I used for many years but got outdated and would not install. I asked and hopefully have received a complete refund. 5 stars (Easy to Use) - I love how you have everything in the project can be manipulated so easily. When I bought this I was worried that it would be difficult for this 70 year young senior. It produces top quality cards for every special occasion. Paint Shop Photo Album 5 Deluxe Old Version

2 stars (Non-Existent technical support) - I replaced my computer and reinstalled PSPA5 deluxe which I'd bought from Amazon last year. I received several error messages during the installation but the program worked. I tried to install the downloaded upgrade but got an error message that my version was not valid. Corel recently bought Jasc so I went to their site and, rather than pay per incident for tech support, I described the problem and asked for help which was free and promised the next business day. After two weeks with no reply. I sent them another e-mail and waited another week with no reply. I then sent them a fax, on the belief that my ISP might be blocking their reply, and asked for a faxed response or snail mail help. NOTHING! Spending real money for PSPA 5 apparently buys you a decent program and being totally ignored by Jasc's new owners, Corel. I gave the program a low rating because I believe that prompt e-mail support is an essential part of the cost of the program. I uninstalled PSPA 5 and will buy nothing new from JASC/COREL. Picasa 2 from Google works well and is free. 3 stars (Decent but could be so much better with attention to details) - Some of the other reviewers have here have spelled out where the program works well so you can consider this the CONS review. 1. The biggest complaint is speed. Opening, editing and building thumbnails are all agonizingly slow. My pictures are stored on a server in my home so there is some understandable delay. But I also use Paint Shop Pro 6 (PSP6) which builds thumbnails faster that I can see them and opens and edits pictures far faster. My wife gets so frustrated with PSPA5s slow speed that she ends up opening and editing in PSP6 and then I loose all EXIF data. Last night added a new folder of about 45 images and it took at least 3 minutes to build all the thumbnails. 2. The next thing is opening folders. PSPA5 calls folders albums. 5 stars (Great, beautiful software program) - Wow, I can print my own beautiful invitations so easily thanks to PrintingPress Platinum! It's easy to use, even for us novice computer phobes. So, far I've created rehearsal dinner invitations, birthday party invitation for a 3 year old and moving cards . . . and gotten huge compliments! It's a wonderful product. 5 stars (Love this) - I have been using this terrific software for over a year now. I love it. The program allows me to easily format invitations and envelopes, posters, programs, all sorts of things. The fonts are so beautiful and different, I always get compliments on them. The images and borders are easy to manipulate and alter to make them very unique. In addition, it is very easy to incorporate my own images and manipulate them effortlessly as well. Anything you could possibly want to do, this software makes it easier. I highly recommend it. 4 stars (Why pay for custom invitations anymore?!) - This is a great product! So far I have made bridal shower invitations, two sets of thank-you notes with personalized envelopes, place cards and menu cards. The interface is very straightforward and customizable. You can expand the included fonts and images to infinity by using others on your computer or the internet, so while the included "library" might be a little small, that is by no means a limitation! I've received tons of compliments on my Printing Press work. I highly recommend if you have a little creative spark and are sick of struggling with word processing programs to make your invitations! ...

1 stars (lame program) - I had none of the reported loading problems [I run XP], my complaint is about the artwork and design programs.[1]There is no command to layer - "bring to front" or "send to back" - so you have to put things on your project in order [that is,if you decide that your text would look better on a colored background you have to start over]. [2] The supplied art work is the very poorest kind of clip art - just plain crappy looking - and hard to sort through. Why go to all the bother of making projects on the computer if they end up looking like they were made by a none-too-talented third-grader? 2 stars ((2.5) User-friendly but with a caveat) - This is the most cost-effective, user friendly program I have found for designing quick logos, letterheads and brochures, this latest version made more accessible because the extra disks are compacted into one. The program offers a great variety of images on every subject, with more available online (for an additional price). However, the greatest complaint is still unanswered...there is virtually no online help available when contacting Broderbund. If a program isn't backed up by online help, the user must consider this when buying the program in the first place. Of course, when I purchased The Printshop from a discount store, I had no idea of the difficulty in using online resources. On the other hand, the program is quite simple and self-explanatory, so there is little need for extra support. There is an advanced drawing feature that I would like to learn, but the program help does little to guide me through the steps and I cannot navigate anything without some specific direction. Program designers don't seem to be aware of such elementary design flaws, assuming a base knowledge which may not exist. I bought a simple program because of my limited knowledge, expecting a certain degree of guidance through the basics. Broderbund's Printshop offers this assistance, but only to a very limited degree. 1 stars (Not worth the price) - I thought the graphics were weak and seemed limited to either too cutesy, cartoony stuff or overly fluffy granny stuff. I did like the selection of fonts and headlines, though. I am still trying to figure out why I'd bought this one and not just gone for the clip art programs. Based on the good reviews it got, I thought it would be as good as The Print Shop 11 which has better graphics for all age groups. 5 stars (It's Great!) - I've tried most, if not all, of the greeting card programs for the PC. Now that I'm a Mac user, I'm expecially pleased that there finally is such a good greeting card program for the Mac. This is a good complement to Nova Development's Print Explosion. The predesigned greeting cards in each program seem to be different. Between the two programs you can do a large number of "desktop publishing" projects. And, both programs are much easier to use than the high end desktop publishing programs used by professionals. 4 stars (New Mac user) - Just bought a Mac after using PCs for 20 some years. Not much choice in software! This program is easy to use and is fairly versatile - about on a par with the Windows application called "Card Studio" and not quite as versatile as "Print Artist". Was able to produce my annual Christmas card in a rather short time after receiving the software this PM. Menus and commands are intuitive and there is a better than average "manual" in the box. If you have fun making cards you can enjoy this application. ...

Well, I am here to tell you that it is just as difficult to use today as it was in the 90's. Granted, I am not software geek, but I have been around the block a few times. I think I am reasonably experienced in using software (Publisher, Word, FrontPage, Excel, etc.), but I cannot make this software do what I need it to do. For instance, I want to paste a picture in a text box. No problem, except for the text has to be manually manipulated around the picture. 1 stars (Very Disappointed!!!) - I purchased this software believing it would do great. Boy, was I wrong! This program is not worth the money I spent for it. I couldn't get the program to open up my picture files from my computer or from a cd. A window kept popping up that read, "unable to insert selected graphic because it is umrecognized format or is corrupt." They were all jpeg files which this software works with & I know there is nothing wrong with them. Hallmark Card Studio 2005 opened them up just fine! Also, every Greeting Card I opened up, a thing would pop up saying that this font is no longer available & so it is replacing it with another, & so you have to click "yes" to it every time. And, I have to mention that Nova Developments tech support team, did nothing to help. I talked to two different tech support personal who heard my problem, said they would check into it, & call me back, & niether one of them called me back! After three emails & two long distant telephone calls, that also cost me money, I gave up & took the program back to the store I purchased it from & luckily got a refund. Be very careful purchasing this program. 4 stars (Nice program) - This is a functional greeting card creator. There are some minor issues, not being able to see the inside/back of the cards until you select them and having to figure out how to install the additional clipart is a trick with the poor instructions, but if you know anything about a computer, this software wont' be a problem for you. 5 stars (I Like It) - This is the first card software I have purchased and will probably be the last. I can't imagine needing anything more to create these types of projects. The graphics are excellent and the interface is very user friendly. 5 stars (Fun for the whole Family) - This software has done everything I have ever asked of it. It is powerful and easy to use. The slide shows it produces are always a big hit. I have enjoyed using this so much I got my mother in law one for her birthday. 1 stars (Nova Development does not pay rebates) - My recommendation is to avoid all Nova Development products if there is a rebate involved, or you think you might need to deal with customer service. This company does NOT pay rebates on time, if at all, and has some of the WORST customer service you will ever encounter. No Wonder, turns out they have an F grade with the BBB and are the subject of numerous complaints with the Attorney General's office. My advice: Avoid ANY products by Nova Developement at all costs. 5 stars (Excellent) - I paid $80.00 for this program and was not disappointed. 1 stars (beware Canon users) - I used to love this program but not anymore. I was advised by Surething to purchase the upgrade from version 3 to 4 and this would enable me to use it with a Canon i865 printer for direct CD printing. When I took the plunge I ended up having to download an update from special programmer who had done some sort of template. The template does not work very well and you still have to set it up to a degree. For some reason Surething wont support Canon printers. They have lots of template's for Epsons but no Canons. This of course is only a problem if you want to print direct to CD so if your printing onto paper labels there is no problem doing it that way. 2 stars (Surething Labeler V4.3 fails to live up to the hype) - As a novice I found this software difficult to use, probably because the manual is badly written and fails to explain how you use the tools available to create designs. It may be this is a sophisticated and complex program, but I have spent hours struggling to create the most basic of designs for Jewel Case inserts and CD labels. Perhaps all CD labelling software by its very nature is complex and requires hours of research before it can be used: I don't know. Perhaps I'm a very stupid person and this is the best CD labelling software on the planet. But after 3 weeks of research I am still unable to complete one jewel case design. If you are a novice my advice is make sure there is not an easier program available. My other gripes include: 1) Surething cannot export playlists from Musicmatch Jukebox 10, contrary to the misleading advertisments which say it can; 2) Technical support, although responding quickly, are unable to answer some basic questions. For example, how does one create a design on the BACK of the front jewel case panel? A simple enough question covering a basic aspect of design. I can only assume those at technical support have never used the software. I'm unable to continue with my designs and am stuck. 3) ...
