Angels - Demons- Special Illustrated Edition

5 stars (angles and demons) - The story talks about Brilliant physicist Leonardo Vetra, who was attempting to use science to prove the existence of God, has been murdered; his eyes plucked out and the society's ancient symbol branded upon his chest. His final discovery, anti-matter, the most powerful and dangerous energy source known to man, has disappeared. Langdon and Vittoria, Vetra's daughter, embark on a frantic hunt through Rome, following a 400-year-old trail to the lair of the Illuminati, to prevent the incineration of civilization. Dan Brown is quite a talent man. This novel is very interesting and exciting. There is a mystery and suspense. It shows comparison between religion and science, as to the relationship between the two supposedly opposing positions. The Illuminati and antimatter are amazing. I strongly believe that you might fall in love with this novel and refuse to stop reading it. Finally, I am looking forward to reading next novel. 5 stars (the Angels have it) - Like millions of people I read THE DA VINCI CODE and loved it so thought I would try ANGELS AND DEMONS. It's a book about secret brotherhoods, religion and dark assassins. Once again the central character is Robert Langdon. It's a brilliant read. ALSO if you like religious thrillers, I highly recommend STEALING FROM ANGELS by Brian Dullaghan. I would say these are my best two books for 2005. 5 stars (Incredible Read!) - This, along with The da Vinci Code, is one of my new favorite books. It follows Robert Langdon on the trail of a killer and a madman threatening to use a deadly weapon to blow up Vatican City. Dan Brown is an amazing suspense/thriller/mystery author and I'm looking forward to The Solomon Key. While I'm not sure when that'll be coming out, I'm looking forward to the da Vinci Code movie (starring Tom Hanks) and I'm planning on reading more of Brown's books. This book is highly recommended. If you've read The da Vinci Code, you may find yourself enjoying this on...

Why Men Won-t Commit- Getting What You Both Want Without Playing Games

1 stars (Don't Believe it Ladies! From a real man) - Men don't commit for several reasons, little of which is stated by the good Doctor. 1. Yes, men are afraid to commit because there is much to lose and little to gain in this "feel good" society for a man to get married. Many women only commit to relationships today if THEY are the able to reap the benefits whether emotional, financial, security etc. from the relationship while for men it is a lifelong journey. Fact: Many more women leave men and divorce them than men leave the woman for the very same reasons as stated above. Contrary to the Hollwood myth, most divorce is filed by the woman, near 70%. 2. It is this very self centered attitude that makes many men wonder "Does she really love me for me" and "Why would I make a commitment because if we divorce I lose everything". So, ladies the Doctor is right about some things but wrong in many others. If you really love your man, tell him and show him. Be honest with him, don't play games and if you don't love him for him, with all his faults. Then you don't love him. 5 stars (Makes Sense) - This book makes sense. It tells you the 4 reasons a man will commit that women often aren't aware of. Also, it discusses how to argue, although the book, "The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work: A Practical Guide from the Country's Foremost Relationship Expert" covers is best! However, this book is good at explaining why men don't/do commit, based off his research. Written for the woman's perspective. Much better than "The Rules"! Gave me confidence by realizing men also want commitment. 3 stars (Commitment Phobia) - most men do marry. women love to blame "problems with commitment" for the breakup, even if the guy marries someone else 6 months later. now single gals have another source of info for blaming their failed relationships on the guys. i've worked with single guys for more than 30 years. visit my site www.logicalmating.com.& send me an em...

Between a Rock and a Hard Place

5 stars (Most moving and gripping) - I was not sure when I started this book whether I really wanted to know the details the author went thru, and early in the book I was astounded at how imprudent he was. But the account soon caught me up and I was totally mesmerized, and the book I found to be a triumph, ranking with Alive, by Piers Paul Read, as one of the most gripping survival stories I have ever read. I felt it was better than Touching the Void, by Joe Simpson, even though that book is on edge of the chair reading. Despite Ralston's imprudent behavior I found him an admirable person and the fact that he is still climbing mountains and doing other unbelievable things I concluded was inspiring, imprudent as it no doubt is. This is a great reading experience. 5 stars (Hard place felt) - This book was very good at describing the surroundings in such detail that the mood was set for the story. Granted, even though it is a true story, one could just feel the tension mounting, and could follow the time line of events that led to Ralston's freedom from his rock/hardplace captors. 1 stars (Dont Read this Book) - This is the most boring book I have ever tried to read. It was a Summer Reading book and I couldnt even finish it. It is soo technical, it is courageous how he lived through that ordeal, but the book dragged and was horrible, i give it 0 stars. ...
